Safety & Usage
Yes, LPG is completely safe when handled properly. MECOM GAS provides certified, high-quality LPG that meets international safety standards.
Basic safety rules:
- •Always ensure proper ventilation in the area where LPG is used
- •Check for gas leaks regularly using soapy water (never use a flame)
- •Keep cylinders upright and away from heat sources
- •Turn off the gas valve when not in use
- •Use certified regulators and appliances
Our team provides safety guidelines with every installation.
You can detect a gas leak by the distinctive smell of LPG (similar to rotten eggs), a hissing sound near the cylinder or connections, or by applying soapy water to joints — bubbles indicate a leak. If you suspect a leak, turn off the gas, ventilate the area, and call us immediately.
We recommend a visual check of hoses, regulators, and connections every month. A thorough inspection by a qualified technician should be done at least once a year. Replace any cracked or worn hoses immediately.
Yes, LPG cylinders can be used indoors with proper precautions. Always ensure adequate ventilation, store cylinders upright in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources, and never store them in basements or enclosed spaces.

Technical Support
First, check if the cylinder valve is fully open and the cylinder has gas. Ensure the regulator is properly connected. If using a lighter, check for ignition issues. If the problem persists, call our technical support team for a free on-site assessment.
A yellow or orange flame usually indicates incomplete combustion, which can be caused by a dirty burner, a faulty regulator, or poor ventilation. Clean the burner ports and ensure adequate airflow. Contact us if the issue continues.
Regulators should be replaced every 5 years or immediately if you notice gas odor near the regulator, visible cracks or damage, or inconsistent flame pressure. Always use PSQCA-certified replacement parts.
